Sandover Pinder was the architect for one of the two shortlisted design and construct teams on the major upgrade to Perth’s CBD rail network. This involved exhaustive analysis and design for the $240m Central Perth Underground Railway Stations project, which required 2.5km of underground rail tunnel connecting to the metropolitan railways network from Mandurah to the Northbridge interchange. This very intensive station design involved detailed co-ordination with the existing city underground services and a complex design integrating pedestrian circulation, traffic control, heritage and city urban considerations.
